James Audubon

John James Audubon, naturalist and artist famous for his drawings and paintings of North American birds, died on January 27, 1851, in New York City. He was sixty-five years old.

There is a lot more we plan to do to celebrate the beauty of our little corner of the world, and this site's look, feel and content will change over the next several weeks a great deal.

One special aspect that will be featured even more as we improve the site is the wonderful photography of Pat Walsh, proprietor of the St. Francisville Inn and owner of Blue Goose Media. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Pat for not only allowing us to utilize his talents, but his devotion to his community.
